LOANN ROSS

Parents and Students,

Welcome to the 2025-2026 school year at CWCS. I am excited to once again have the privilege of serving God, the parents, and the students entrusted to me in the educational ministry of CWCS.

It has been my joy and passion to work in Christian education here on this campus since its start in 1981 as Trinity Christian Academy through a merger with Woodgate Christian School that resulted in the formation of Colorado West Christian School. In these forty-four or so years, God has used me in a variety of roles all the way from parent to janitor to substitute teacher to study hall monitor to school board member to both part and full time teacher. In whichever position, God has never failed to bless me through it.

Because of my longevity with the school, many reading this will already know some things about me, but if not here are a few biographical points:

  • Born and raised in Montrose

  • Graduated from Montrose High School

  • Attended Fort Lewis College for two years

  • Married to Steve Ross since 1973 (he is a retired firefighter/EMT for Mont. Fire Dist. and also for wildland fire with the BLM)

  • Three married daughters (all three attended TCA/CWCS from K4 through 10th grade)

  • Ten lovely, smart, wonderful grandchildren (ranging in age from 6 to 26)

  • I love the Lord, reading, cooking, animals, and the mountains

This year I will be teaching the middle school language arts classes for most of the students in 5th through 7th grades.

My prayer is that God will once again bless and grant a fruitful and grace filled school year.
